I've been told by EA that there's a patch in the works to fix said issue but I have no clue when that will happen, until then I'll continue to search for any other solutions available. Also, there's no reason you'd need to uninstall and reinstall your program files, but since you have, please make sure that the game still launches before proceeding. If it doesn't, then you'll need to do a clean uninstall and reinstall, which involves clearing out the hidden library files.
Here's a guide on how to do it:. The real problem is probably in your TS3 game folder the one in Documents. You might have a corrupt. When you launch the game again, a clean folder will spawn with no content. Try installing one file, like maybe Riverview, into this folder, and then see if it shows up at the Main Menu.
If so, you can go ahead and install the rest of your store content. Keep in mind that it's best to download and install items in small batches, no more than a half-dozen or so at a time, as the launcher doesn't handle large amounts of data well. Worlds should always be handled separately, not in a batch with anything else.
